This year's project will impact the Brookside, Savanna Oaks North and Woodbury Crossing neighborhoods as well as areas along Woodlane Drive and Wooddale Drive. For more information, visit the project page.
Each year, the city completes a reclamite project in designated areas to extend pavement life and contain materials within the original asphalt pavement. Reclamite is an oil-based pavement rejuvenator material that will be sprayed directly on the road surface, followed by the temporary application of a sand product.
The 2020 Reclamite is currently underway. The pavement is ready for vehicle traffic after sand is applied, approximately 15-20 minutes after the reclamite is placed. Construction is scheduled to be completed on Monday, June 29.

Washington County Projects
Woodbury Drive (County Road 19) and Local Road Capacity and Safety Improvements Project
Woodbury Drive is being expanded to better serve the increased traffic generated from the surrounding development. With this project, Tamarack Road will be expanded to a 4-lane divided roadway with dedicated left turn lanes. In addition, the intersections at Woodbury Drive of Hudson Road, Commerce Drive and Tamarack Road will all be expanded to provided better access and mobility. Finally, new trails are being constructed to improve pedestrian connectivity in the area. This project is anticipated to be constructed spring of 2020 through fall of 2021.
Woodbury Drive (County Road 19) Corridor Management and Safety Improvement Project
This project will help relieve the increased traffic demand along Woodbury Drive. The project will consist of expanding the corridor from two to four lanes, and constructing a roundabout at the Woodbury Drive/Dale Road intersection. This project is in the early phases of design. To receive project updates, visit the Woodbury Drive Corridor Management project website.
This project will include a 4-lane divided roadway expansion and intersection control improvements from Radio Drive west to Woodlane Drive. Construction is anticipated to start in the spring of 2020. For more information or to sign up to receive email updates from the county about upcoming traffic impacts or project updates, visit the Bailey Road Management and Safety project website.
Minnesota Department of Transportation Projects
Construction is underway and will take place in two phases in 2019 and 2020. The project includes replacing and widening the northbound and southbound interchange bridges; repairing pavement; constructing a new southbound auxiliary lane from 10th Street in Oakdale to I-94; constructing a new southbound auxiliary lane from I-94 to Tamarack Road; adding northbound and southbound buffer lanes; and reconstructing the ramp loop from southbound I-694 to eastbound I-94.

I-94 East Metro Interchange Study
The I-94 East Metro interchange study in Woodbury, Oakdale and surrounding area focuses on finding the long-term vision for the interchange while ensuring that other projects in the interchange area are compatible with that vision.
Currently, MnDOT is reconstructing the East Metro I-94 Interchange to address deteriorated bridges and pavement (see above). This project work also includes low cost safety and capacity improvements. However, this work only addresses short-term condition issues. A long-term plan is needed for broader capacity and safety issues at the interchange. For more information, visit the project website.
