Starlight Cinema

Get ready for an epic outdoor movie series, featured on a two-story inflatable screen with eight stadium speakers! This summer series is a collaboration between local businesses and Woodbury Parks and Recreation. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating.

Geocaching Basics

Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. A fun part of the treasure hunt is to find a cache (treasure) that may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. We have many of these treasures throughout the Woodbury park’s system. We will show you how to enjoy this electronic treasure hunt while exploring local parks. GPS units provided for use. Space is limited. Parent participation required.

Kids Glo Run: Light it up!

Join Woodbury Parks and Recreation as we partner again with Cottage Grove Parks and Recreation to offer our annual Kids Race Series! Register for one, two or all three fun races! Routes will be well-marked to aid in a successful run. Participants should arrive on time and direction will be given for their start time. Participants will receive a T-shirt and Powerade® at each race. Pre-register to secure your spot; day-of registration will only be available if space is available.

A run in the dark-sweet! Participants will be given race shirts prior to the start that GLO along with neon sweat bands to LIGHT IT UP! Wear your own glowing or neon attire for extra fun. Neon signs will guide runners on the approximate one mile route. Stick around after the run and enjoy bonfire and treats. Event will end no later than 8:30 p.m.

Big Truck Day

The east lot of Central Park will be full with the coolest vehicles around for the 7th annual Big Truck Day. Explore the insides of cool vehicles like an ambulance, fire truck, mail truck and so much more! This event is a partnership between Woodbury Public Safety, Parks and Recreation, Public Works and the Washington County Library.

Movie Night

Movies are show in in the Central Park Amphitheater. Adults must accompany children. This family event is sponsored by Woodbury Parks and Recreation and the Woodbury YMCA. Doors open at 6 p.m.; movie begins at 6:30 p.m.

Adventure Bike Ride

With more than 127 miles of connected trails and more than 49 park spaces, Woodbury is a wonderful spot to take a family bike ride. Families will receive a printed map of trails to bike along that will take them past specific park areas. A fun challenge will await families at each designated park area. Receive a sticker at each park to show you completed the challenge. Bike Ride will conclude with treats and beverages. Route is roughly six miles long with five stops.

*Participants will be emailed the week prior to the ride as to their start time. Start times will be staggered to avoid waiting at parks to complete challenges and clusters along the paths. All routes will be cleaned up by 1 p.m. The course will take families approximately 60-90 minutes to complete, depending on speed.

Santa will be taking a break from making toys and wants you to join him and a few of his helpers in decorating cookies, making a fun holiday craft and taking pictures. Bring your own camera for photos with Santa!

New Year's Eve Family Celebration

Bielenberg Sports Center will be filled with fun inflatables, huge moonwalks, obstacle courses, bingo, ice skating, Gaga pit, music and so much more to make this evening a fun night for all! Door prize drawings will be held at 8:30 p.m. followed by the big countdown to 2016. Tickets must be purchased for all participants ages 3 and older. This event typically sells out before Dec. 31- early registration is recommended.
